My 6 year old came home from school with 3 seedlings in a plastic cup for a class activity, and I needed a place to nurture the seedlings until they were ready to be potted. After a quick search on PrusaPrinters.org, I found a base model that wasn’t exactly robust enough for a starting point, and quickly made a new improved design from scratch.The planters have a removeable base plate that allows you to easily lift the seedlings out of the small tub once they’re ready to be potted/planted, and has a small 10mm hole in the bottom to drain any excess water your child may enthusiastically pour into the pots. The base plate has 4 legs that raise the floor of the planter slightly to allow for better drainage and less chances of root rot (gotta keep those seedlings nice and happy to grow!)
