The Raspberry Pi 3 A+ is ideal for controlling a 3D printer. It has all the power of the Pi 3 platform but with reduced size and less ports. All a printer needs for Octoprint is one USB which the P3 A+ has. The Pi itself is accessed via its built in Wifi.
This case is based upon tvarok’s from Dec 1, 2018 (Thingiverse 3252012). I have modified it to use M3 screws and nuts to hold the case together, reworked the case to clamp the Pi securely, and added a new rear spine which uses two 3030 M6 T-Nuts to secure the case to the Mini’s vertical extrusion. Two smaller M3 sized holes are provided in the mount as well for alternative fixing using the optional T bracket and M3 fixings which will fit standard frame holes on the Prusa Mk3S.
